PETITIONER

Sandbaggers Sports Bar

105 Chesapeake Centre Ct.

Glen Burnie, MD 21060

ISSUE

On or about December 6, 2011, the Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners ruled to set severe restrictions on the "establishment" known as Sandbaggers Sports Bar, which has negatively impacted the patrons, employees, and the "establishment". These restrictions were imposed on the "establishment" due to an alleged violation of "restricted hours" and an "assault" that occurred outside of the building in an adjacent parking area.

The restrictions presently imposed on the “establishment” are as follows:

1.) The "establishment" known as Sandbaggers Sports Bar must now be closed at 1:00am each business day. (One full hour before the State of MD established closing time of 2:00am.) This has caused much inconvenience to the patrons and employees. Last call must now be called at 12:30 am.

2.) The "establishment" known as Sandbaggers Sports Bar currently has been removed of its entertainment privileges (Dancing, Dj's, Live BANDS, and Karaoke are not allowed). This restriction has negatively affected the patrons as they are now unable to participate and enjoy the specific interests they seek when coming to Sandbaggers Sports Bar.

In response to the violations that Sandbaggers incurred, the management has taken several actions to prevent any occurrence of future violations.

1.) Security personnel have been increased.

2.) Mandatory training for security personnel.

3.) Live video surveillance has been installed.

4.) New policies and procedures have been enacted (dress code, etc.).

We believe that the current restrictions have created a disadvantage for the patrons of the "establishment" known as Sandbaggers Sports Bar to receive the service and entertainment they expect and have previously enjoyed.

We intend to gather your support with this petition so that we may present it to the Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners to request that they allow the establishment known as Sandbaggers to operate without the currently placed restrictions.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and sign this petition.

PETITION:

We the undersigned, request the Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners to remove the restrictions that are currently placed upon the "establishment" known as Sandbaggers Sports Bar thusly allowing the "establishment" to operate under the previous conditions, restrictions and regulations as are currently enjoyed by other establishments in Anne Arundel County.
