We the workers of Alberta have come to the conclusion that the leadership of the Building Trades and the leadership of the NMA/GPMA agreements have not had the best interest of the Alberta Trade Unions in mind for a long time. We feel that these organizations have destroyed our Unions. We the undersigned ask for your resignation.

Years ago when I was a member of the CUPE Union back East I had the right to vote for not only bargaining issues and decisions we also got to vote for our representatives. Since moving out West and becoming a union member out West it is no longer a democracy the QCC is a dictatorship.
Building Trades do not have the best interest in people who are the membership and are of whom are the backbone and true holders of a union. A membership truly is to decide. Not the building trades.
My wages are down by 30% because of our loss of double time, I have friends in the oil industry that left due to the he loss of the wages, im looking for a way out myself at this wage.
The non union company's at my oil and gas site still get double time if they come in early or stay late for their shifts why did the unions get rid of it!!!?? Also I'm working 14/14 and I'm asked to come in for OT for 6 days and that runs through Easter and I STILL don't get doubletime???
Please end double breasting of companies with contracts to the unions of Alberta. It gives them unfair advantage over their employees which I'm one of being a union boilermaker

If it was anything other than Trade Unions the outcome for investigation for "Conflict of interest" "Bribes"" Extortion" would amaze many IMO.

The building trades never negotiate. They introduce fear into the membership to give us false reasons as to why we are loosing in the next contract. Again, they don't negotiate, they just give stuff away because they believe the lies being told to them by big business and the government. Bring some facts and negotiate.
