The council has officially scrapped the plans for the site in our area. My energy is spent but I am relieved that we managed to protect our neighborhood after such a difficult struggle.

The sheer volume of people expressing their opposition to this proposal has been exhausting yet necessary to witness. It is clear that our community feels overlooked and we will keep pushing forward to ensure these concerns are properly acknowledged.

My son and young family live in Werrington very near the proposed site. I know Travellers must have somewhere to live, but the negative impact on such a proposal would, I feel, be disasterous. .
Absolutely shocked that salters lane is a suggestion for a travellers site the area is lovely and the impact this will have to residents and the local area will be devastating. I have a feeling that if this goes ahead many people who have lived here for years will leave. Such a shame lets hope smdc listen to the community.
Crime will certainly increase. Fly tipping around the area will increase. Property prices will decrease. Schools will certainly suffer as a result.
this site is on the edge of green belt , just wondering whether this comes under Stoke on Trent or Staffordshire Moorlands , I would guess Staffordshire I own a lot of land around that area have offered Road widening schemes , POA and a load of other incentives over the past 30 years without success , this permission if true is a total disgrace
we have a beautiful well kept village.which is respected by all its residents.please do not let this site go ahead and ruin what we all care for.

We've lived in Werrington for 5 years now and absolutely love it. So sad that we're already making plans to leave after hearing about the proposed site down the road. DO NOT RUIN WERRINGTON VILLAGE WITH A GYPSY SITE!!

we already have a prison on the door step what more do they want to do to Werrington! they do not police now the scrap vehicles left on the road in Salters lane so what confidence can you have in the council proposals ?
