We've lived in Werrington for 5 years now and absolutely love it. So sad that we're already making plans to leave after hearing about the proposed site down the road. DO NOT RUIN WERRINGTON VILLAGE WITH A GYPSY SITE!!

we already have a prison on the door step what more do they want to do to Werrington! they do not police now the scrap vehicles left on the road in Salters lane so what confidence can you have in the council proposals ?

Salters Lane is already a big "accident waiting to happen" due to its very narrow lane.

This is a totally inappropriate place to put a travellers site. For those in favour please request it to be next door to themselves

I have lived in Werrington for over thirty years already there is too many people in Werrington. There has been three new estates built bringing in more people and more problems. We certainly do not want a gypsy site adding to the mix. This will lower value of houses, bring in problems in the community and also add problems to our junior school. I notice in the past few days there are areas of graffitti around the village. I have llived here thirty years and have never witnessed this. c

keep them well clear some of them are sound but most are theives and idiots isf they want to live somewhere tell them buy a house and pay in to the system like every one else

When people said they wanted affordable living this was not what they meant. I cannot believe that this is even being considered, why not move them to somewhere where they might fit in better, somewhere where people are not working their backsides off to pay their way in life instead of being dead beats all their life.

I dont want a traveller site in werrington or cellarhead, im concerned it will affect property prices and crime will certainly increase. They have nothing positive to offer the community I plan to make a strong protest against any suggestion of a site in werrington, cellerhead or surrounding area.

For the council to even think of this worries me. This must not go ahead, what are SMDC thinking of?!?!? We do not want travellers in Werrington!

ere is a proposal for a travellers site in Werrington. Living in Werrington myself I would not feel safe living here if this went ahead It is a fact that a lot not all travellers cause issues ie leaving rubbish theft and problems in pubs. Werrington has always been a nice quiet village to live and this proposal is passed it would have a massive impact on the community as a whole.

Really upset and shocked to hear that there is a proposal for a travellers site in Werrington. Living in Werrington myself I would not feel safe living here if this went ahead It is a fact that a lot not all travellers cause issues ie leaving rubbish theft and problems in pubs. Werrington is a small village and would not be able to occupy so many people in such a small amount of time and I fear my childs education would be at risk due to oversized classes. I for one if this does go ahead would think about moving and that's not fair on my girls who have been here since day 1!!! Whoever has thought of Werrington for a site I bet they don't live here!!!
