The current AFM SRLA expired over 2&1/2 years ago. The Federation By-laws clearly state that upon expiration, either a new agreement must be negotiated, or a 6 month extension must be put to a ratification vote by the relevant members. The AFM has done neither.

Why do we have to petition for our money? AFM doesn’t pay; they collect and distribute. Is it their money?
It’s time to pay the Recording Musicians who’s work generated these payments in the first place. In 2021, these fees totaled roughly $36 million dollars, divided equally between the Singer’s and Musician’s Unions. The singers got their 18Mil, and we got zero. In what universe is this fair ?
