We the undersigned members of IBEW Local 1269 hereby affirm that in order to cast an informed and meaningful vote, the membership of Local 1269 should receive a copy of the 2013 IBEW/YP Contract at least 5 days before a ratification vote.
We request that the Union provide a copy of the 2013 tentative contract in its entirety as well as a summary highlighting all changes, including impact forecasts.

Contract ratification requires an informed vote, therefore two separate meetings are needed:
Meeting #1
Contact Preview Meeting - Union Officials present tentative contract to members, including changes, highlights & impact forecasts. Members are given a complete copy of the contract to take home and review for at least 5 days before the ratification meeting.
Meeting #2
Contract Ratification Meeting - Members meet with Union Officials to answer questions, discuss and vote on contract.

Ridiculous that they expect us to sign off on our own livelihood without reading the fine print first. Give us the contract.
Total incompetence from the leadership. Treat the members like grown adults and show us the paperwork.
5 days is the bare minimum. Stop trying to rush this through.
How are we supposed to vote on something we havent even seen yet? Blind voting is a joke.
Transparency!! We deserve to know what we are getting into before any vote happens.
