Many thanks for all your speedy signatures and messages of support for this petition. I will ask the Watercolour Residents Association to issue any updates or outcomes relating to the communal car parking areas in question as they arise from the submittal of this petition**

Dear Sir/Madam

As residents of the Watercolour Development in Redhill Surrey, RH1 2NH, managed by Pentland Estate Management, those of us that live directly next to and at the rear of the Tesco express store have to endure illegal & inconsiderate parking in our allocated spaces on a daily basis by customers mostly visiting the Tesco store, along with the doctors surgery and pharmacy. I have sent emails to Pentland complaining about the lack of control over the car park & the state of the faded bays for at least the last 2 years.

As it has reached the point of witnessing residents blocking illegally parked cars in which has led to, at times, verbal abuse toward residents & shoppers and on more than 1 occasion, physical scuffles it is about time we as residents came together as 1 voice to demand something is done to rectify what we have to endure living here.

Whilst I appreciate planning permission has been granted (for a second time) for Linden Homes to install a new car park at the front of the Tesco store I can't see this stopping the illegal parking at the rear of the store all the time the bay numbers are unreadable and we have no control over who enters the car park. When I have questioned people returning to their cars with shopping bags to ask why they feel it's acceptable to park in my space, they quite fairly say 'how am I supposed to know where to park when the bay numbers are unreadable'.

I have contacted various people at Pentland Estate Management over the last 2 years and each time I am told that they are arranging for a contractor to quote for the repainting of residents car parking bays & numbers and also that whilst the development is in the throws of being handed over to the residents to manage the wheels turn extremely slowly. What hasn't assisted is our allocated Pentland representative has changed numerous times during this period If we can get as many residents to sign the petition in support that we do actually need our car park repainted and parking controls put in place as a matter of utmost urgency.

When the target is met this petition will be presented to Pentland Estate Management, The Watercolour Residents Association & Cllr Richard Croad.
