With all the bad parking outside ALL the schools within Hampton - the only way to resolve this is with a traffic regulation order to be put in place in the area. Once this is done this will allow the cars that are parked on pavements to be ticketed by the parking enforcement officer. As this gives then gives them more ability to enforce better safety of our children walking to and from school.
The roads to be included will be as followed;
(Hampton College Primary/Secondary)
•Clayburn Road
•Eagle Way
•Osier Avenue
(Hampton Vale Primary)
• Westlake Avenue
• Stewartby Avenue
• Redshank Way
(Hampton Hargate Primary)
•Hargate Way
•Watersend Road

The more signatures we are able to get the more likely we will be able to do something to help protect our children’s safety now and in the future.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the dangerous parking situations you see near these schools every morning. It is truly humbling to realize how many people share this concern and it is only because you stepped up that we now have the leverage to bring these specific locations to the attention of the local authorities.

Please put double yellows on Redshank way. The cars ruin the grass and make it impossible to drive or walk down our street.

This is very much needed around our schools. However around Hargate school I believe more streets need to be included.

I live on Redshank Way, the parking is disgraceful. It's dangerous for my wife and children to walk to and from school and I can't even consider trying to get my car out of the street around school time

Strongly want some thing to happen about this situation it is dangerous and I saved a child last year that ran between two illegally parked cars on double yellow lines . He ran straight out in front of a cat because he couldn’t see . Gladly he wasn’t injured

Absolutely agree. Watching the Primary kids running/scootering/walking across the Secondary entrance everyday with limited visibility at the same time parents are trying to drop their kids off by pulling in sharply across the pavements, makes me so scared for them, I hold my breath most days. It’s appalling!

No child’s safety should be put at risk, just because a driver can’t find an appropriate parking space.
