Should just get rid of tesco's altogether which would make the whole development more enjoyable to be a resident. Or maybe Linden should have kept their promise about installing a barrier

The parking situation is hugely frustrating. My bay has been parked in so many times I've lost count and is largely due to the lack of signage. I'd never dream of just randomly parking in someones driveway! Actually, Pentland could make a small fortune if a resident permit scheme was in operation and they started clamping illegally parked cars.

I agree that the bays should be repainted - even when the bays paintings were pronounced, we still have Tesco customers parking in residents' bays. I don't know about other residents but, my service charge has been jerked up, hence, Pentland has a lot of our monies in their coffers without putting it into use for the residents - all they make is empty promises!! Also, I don't see any reason why Tesco should be allowed to build more parking bays. If Tesco is getting more customers then they might consider moving into a bigger space out of Watercolour. The present Tesco is a convenience store not a superstore! The residents should be asked to fork out more monies - the monies we've paid for service charge etc has not been put into use, hence, they have enough monies to repaint and put parking restriction where necessary!! Pentland should act now and stop dragging their feet or procrastinating with empty promises - it is frustrating! Pentland wake up!!

We frequently come home to find someone has not only parked in our space but also parked very poorly essentially blocking 2 spaces. Whilst I completely agree that the parking bays need repainting and further enforcement actions considered (such as more signage), I am concerned as to where the funding will come from as we already pay so many fees. This is something that I feel should come from our existing maintenance budget.

IF Tesco would ever get on and build the extra 10 car parking spaces it has faffed over for the past 5 years, this would help the situ. But repainting of the bays would help - although this would come under our maintenance fees wouldn't it?

Thank you for starting this petition. The parking situation in Thornton Side car park behind Tesco is getting increasingly frustrating and must be remedied. The silver Ford Fiesta is a huge annoyance and you have our utmost support. Regards Miss Aslani

I do support the idea about parking controls. However, it is not clear where the funding will come from, whether will be from the existing budget or we going to receive service charge increase at the end of the year. What we could all do as residents is to visit Tesco by foot rather then drive 100m to get an ice cream for example. After all the shop is located a minute walk from the furthest property. This makes me think that external visitors to Tesco and development are contributing to the lack of parking. Would not be easier to control the traffic to the development instead? Then we can sort out the problem with the traffic noise as well.

Often I find somebody parked in my space. I agree it is about time the car park was repainted at least.
