Disabled passengers, the less abled and parents/carers with small children in pushchairs are having problems accessing the platform towards Bury since the closure of NatWest and the use of their car park.

Passengers now have to park in the new Metrolink car park and struggle up the hill towards the entrance and then down the slope to access the platform.

The proposed crossing point will allow access from the Metrolink car park to platform on the other side. (towards Bury)

I HAVE BEEN HEARING SO MANY STORIES ABOUT THE STRUGGLE AT THE WHITEFIELD STATION AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!! WE ARE WORKING HARD BEHIND THE SCENES TO ENSURE THE OFFICIALS SEE EXACTLY HOW DIFFICULT THIS IS FOR OUR NEIGHBORS!! KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING BECAUSE THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW!!

THE MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE RIGHT NOW AND I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY BY YOUR PASSION!! THIS HUGE SURGE IN SUPPORT PROVES THAT WHITEFIELD DESERVES SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE TRANSIT FOR EVERY SINGLE PERSON!!

This is urgent, as the ramp down by the side of the Nat West has been blocked off by huge concrete slabs, there is no access to the Bury side of the metro

A crossing is absolutely ESSENTIAL. As things stand I have difficulty since the closure of the bank.

A pedestrian crossing such as the one at the Abraham Moss tram station would prove to be extremely useful and very popular.

Should have been thought about when planning the new car park.

It's a scandal that essential access facilities like this needy be the subject of a petition.

There are enough access difficulties everywhere without adding to them - do something about this!
