Aberdeen Airport (Dyce) is a relic from the past. Management does not consider passenger comfort and convenience to be important. Their motto is : “You must submit to supreme suffering in order to discover the completion of joy" John Calvin Please support the following petition suggestions to the owners/operators of Dyce airport : Instal Jetways for access and egress to and from planes. Jetways were first used in 1959 Do not force passengers to stand outside in inclement weather while boarding or deplaning. There are options available that offer shelter. Improve access for the disabled and stop the practice of loading the wheelchair bound from the catering lorry, a particularly humiliating experience. Start caring about passengers needs and comfort. Good management make solutions, poor management make excuses. Fairness for Fliers !!!!!
I honestly never thought this would gain so much ground but seeing everyone pile in like this makes me think the people in charge actually have to listen now. It is wild how many of you have had that exact same miserable experience out on the tarmac because that catering lorry thing should have been abandoned decades ago honestly.

Yet again we get ripped off, £2 to get dropped off at the 'Oil Capital of Europe' Makes me cynical that these charges increase when the passengers going through Aberdeen start to drop...

Have traveled to dozens of airports all round the world and Aberdeen is one the saddest of them all. We used to get hounded by traffic wardens, now drivers are cash cows. Even in immigration there is no happy welcome home, I experienced officials barking at everyone to stand in line, switch of Mobile phones, keep quite etc.. Welcome to Aberdeen Airport..

Welcome not to a Heathrow inspired look alike but a shambolic model of a true Heath Robinson lookalike. It is nice to know that the Spanish Management are investing £20 million to upgrade their investment, but what they did not tell anyone that the general public who make use of the facilities will be paying for it twice over. The initial investment will be provided by the fees charged motorists and Taxis dropping off our customers. THe owners discovered that the initial charge of a £1 was insufficient so increased it to £2 thus doubling the weekly revenue. Once the Airport upgrade is finished we will all continue to pay through the nose to use the Airport twice, once via hidden airport charges, separate from Government levels, for security checks, use of the toilets, seating, inflated costs for purchasing refreshments even bottled water is an exorbitant cost. The Spanish owners have bought their very own Lottery winning the jackpot every day via drop off charges under the guise of relieving congestion. The drop off area is now more congested than ever it was at busy times with relatives often queuing to exit and some have been known to incur an excess as they cannot depart. The conclusion must there fore be that the drop off charges are unlicensed theft.
unable to depart the area
