The Executive has confirmed full funding for the A5 project and finalized its commitment to the construction timeline. We will monitor the procurement process now to ensure these allocated funds remain strictly dedicated to the planned route upgrades.
We, the following, call on all parties in the Northern Ireland Executive to protect those monies currently earmarked in its current budget and investment plans for the proposed A5 dual carriageway and to take all steps necessary and appropriate to expedite the outcome of the public enquiry, to secure all required approvals and to commence the A5 project as soon as possible. Failing such approvals, we call for the immediate release of these monies for an alternative appropriate upgrade of this key route.
We are approaching the two hundred and fifty signature threshold required to finalize our formal briefing document for the Infrastructure Committee. Please ensure your networks are aware of this petition before I deliver the documentation package to the department.

If they cant do the dual carriageway then fix the current road properly. Either way stop wasting our tax money and do something useful.

The A5 is a death trap. Sick of hearing about accidents on that road every other week. Get it built before more people die.

Living in the west and commuting to Belfast is a nightmare. Too many delays and too many excuses. We need this road now.

It is absolutely ridiculous how long this has dragged on. Just get the work started already!
