I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with Transport Scotland to discuss the current project schedule. We are now preparing a detailed report on the traffic impacts based on the feedback provided in the comments section.

The scale of this response has secured a formal meeting with representatives from Transport Scotland to review current traffic management protocols. We are now preparing a detailed report of the delays to present during our briefing.

Travelled as a tourist through these roadworks last Sunday. No work being carried out at all but still 40mph limit - very frustrating and the limit seemed pointless. Put us off visiting the area again, thank goodness we're going home on a different route.
Rent the road by the metre to the contractors on a daily basis to complete the works. They will then keep the length of the roadworks to a minimum and work 24 hours a day to complete them.
Took me 6 hours to get from Inverness to Edinburgh on Monday - try that with 2 toddlers in the car... the vast majority of the affected road had no work going on. A doubling of the journey time is not an acceptable price to pay for these works.
Between Perth and Inverness today there must have been around a dozen different lots of roadworks - 5 had traffic lights and add to this the diversion via Blair Atholl - where there were also roadworks. why the need to be spending money resurfacing sections that will hopefully be dualled soon?
The road works management is shambolic. Five miles of 40mph between Kincraig and dalraddy and no road works over two weeks yet, seems we are protecting the cones which are situated on the verge anyway. Four other sets of road works. Could some of them not be done at night?
The programme being followed (if a programme of works even exists) is not even an amateur attempt at traffic management. Why close dual carriageway sections to work on before the single carriage sections have been made to dual? This has only made the a9 resemble the road it was before it had any dual sections, so to make it a better road, we have to put up with years of it being worse than it ever was?!!! Someone in a position of power really needs to answer to this & face the type of consequences us mere peasants would face if showing the complete lack of thought, planning & management in our own jobs, being flagrantly displayed by this bunch of incompetent outfits
Quickest way to ruin a relaxing day out in th highlands, use the A9.

i live in kincraig on the road side and the traffic has become unbelievable throw the village with people avoiding the speed cameras. and the speeds they are doing. there has already been a crash in the village.
