As you know, prior to First American managing the community, Jimmy worked directly for the HOA as an independent contractor, by all accounts he was an exemplary contractor and met all his duties and tasks without issue with the community’s interests at the forefront of everything he did. When First American was hired, both the Board and First American gave Jimmy no choice but to work directly for First American or lose the business.
The suggestion is that we return to the original system where Jimmy works as an independent contractor and not work for First American, saving the association tens of thousands of dollars.
According to the Board, First American could quit (as they did after bankruptcy) if Jimmy is retained. We believe this is unfounded as First American contract with Beachwalk currently stands at approximately $250,000.
It's apparent that the owners of Beachwalk want Jimmy to return to his duties of garbage collection and security. Therefore, we are asking homeowners to sign a petition that we will send to the Board, encouraging them to do the right thing and also what the community clearly wants.

Coop has constantly insured safety to the guests and staff around him. Also let him have his dog back!!!!
Jimmy has cared for our community for as long as I can remember and gained the trust of our residents. Would love to see his return!
Jimmy has been extremely helpful to our needs and have seen his ability throughout Beachwalk for many years. He wears his heart on his sleeve for Beachwalk
I appreciate Jimmy’s local knowledge and responsiveness. I believe we can find work for him - not as part of 1st Am - at his hourly rate with no management overhead that would be beneficial for homeowners as well as Jimmy
I agree 100% with this proposal. Jimmy has always handled himself professionally, reacted to security issues promptly.
