We oppose the construction of a 29-unit 3-story apartment building on the site of 1645 Black Rock Turnpike as proposed by Harbour Townhomes, LLC. We have considerable concerns for the impact the proposed development would have on the surrounding area.

Tunxis Hill Neighbors United is a local group comprised of concerned Fairfield Citizens. Our goal is to inform people about this proposed development with a view to stopping it.

We urge the elected and appointed Fairfield town officials to reject the application for zoning compliance for affordable housing requested by Harbour Townhomes, LLC.

Accordingly, we wish to register our objection.

This would be a very bad decision for the neighborhood and intersection. Emergency vehicles would have difficulty getting around delaying assistance. I grew up in Fairfield and this was always a bad intersection.

This structure is not in character for the neighborhood, and I object to this structure being placed on such a small lot on a very busy intersection.

This proposal is way too large for the .6421 piece of property it is on. Traffic is a nightmare already and with 29 units the flow on Moritz Place and the added volume onto an already dangerous intersection is scary. I am against this building, its size and density.

Blackrock/Tunxis Hill are already over populated. There are accidents constantly one at this very intersection a week ago. Never mind the death a few weeks ago of a pedestrian crossing the street. We should be more concerned about making this area safe!

This would be a terrible location, the intersection is dangerous enough. Also, McKinley and Holland Hill are already overpopulated as it stands, we do not need more children coming into these schools. Too many rentals in the area to begin with...

Besides an eye sore, As a parent of McKinley school, I feel this will negatively impact public safety for our children walking to school, creating more traffic to an area that is already congested.

Fairfield doesn't give a ____ about it's citizens. They take care of the "affluent" areas of the Town and if you don't live in one of those areas then that's your problem. They don't care about clear traffic concerns/safety, plowing issues or just overall quality of life. Just take a look at the FPD commission on traffic safety meeting notes and you'll see how many concrete realistic proposals are denied for no good reason at all.

This is an absolutely absurd proposal.
