Opposition to Dial Residential LLC's Proposed Development at 3318 Mowbray Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45226
We, the undersigned Mowbray Lane, Tweed Avenue, and Van Dyke Street property owners and residents are strongly opposed to the Mowbray Manor condominium project as proposed by Dial Residential LLC of Indianapolis, IN due to the excessive number of units (19), lack of parking, and numerous negative effects of the project on public safety (fire and emergency medical services), traffic flow, real estate values, and water, stormwater, and sewer services. Instead of bypassing involvement and input from current residents and the community, we demand Dial Properties, LLC work with the Mount Lookout Community Council, the City of Cincinnati, as well as residents who will be directly affected by the proposed development for many years to come. We are not opposed to sensible, properly-scaled development: but Dial Residential's proposed condominium complex is fundamentally incompatible with the historical and current mix of structures and infrastructure of Mowbray Lane and must be reconsidered and scaled back significantly. We believe any development by Dial Properties or any developer must protect the integrity of the current mix of single-, two-, and four-family structures that make up Mowbray Lane. We strongly urge all parties to work together as a positive force for Mowbray Lane, and we request that our many concerns about this project be taken into serious consideration throughout the planning and possible construction process. Finally, as many of us have just learned of Dial's plans in the past week, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic--making it very difficult to assemble and discuss our concerns, we urge all parties to give Mowbray Lane and impacted neighborhood residents ample time to process and respond to all communications from the City, MLCC, and Dial Residential.

im still having conversations with neighbors on the street and the level of frustration is honestly universal regarding the lack of planning here. we are pulling together all our notes on the infrastructure issues to bring to the city council soon.

im honestly blown away by how many neighbors joined in on this so quickly. it feels like everyone on the block is finally on the same page about how bad this plan is for our street. seeing all this energy makes me feel way better about us standing up for our neighborhood.

I am appalled at the way this developmjent as rushed through without anynotice or feedback grom the immediate neighbors. The increase of parkiong and traffic problems of aq development of this size is or should be unacceptable. Greed seems to rule in these situations - and the neighborhood suffers!
19 condos is just being done to make the contractor rich. Houses would fit there better and keep the street residential. Also all those condos will cause traffic congestion. The new builds don’t capture the beauty of the residential area and lower home values. .
We live a block away from that proposed development and have not heard anything regardng it.
Unbelievable! All we ask is that development be tasteful and appropriate for the space. I don’t know what the aesthetics are but 19 condos is completely unreasonable and serves only the greedy developer wanting to fill their deep pockets. It’s sickening that city planning has allowed this to go as far as it has in our area and is not more interested in keeping the integrity of the area.
The developers did the same thing in Anderson, we do not have the infrastructure to support that many homes and cars. Look out Mt. Lookout, because they are not looking out for you!
This is a travesty. How did this ever get clearance to begin. It is destroying a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood.

How is it that no one knew about this until it was too late? It’s evident Mr. Dial is just out for the money. He wouldn’t want to live in an area that’s already become a free for all. Trucks parked all over Van Dyke waiting to go up. Driving over sidewalk and grass. No way can this area support 19 condos. If he could just build something that fit in with the neighborhood that would be fine. This is just a fiasco.
