Dear Senators Flake and McCain,

We, your constituents, hold grave concerns regarding the proposed "fast-tracking" of the president-elect's Cabinet nominees. The current Senate plan to ram these questionable nominations forward without proper vetting undermines the confidence of the American people and poses a clear and present danger to the future of our nation.

The president-elect's slate of nominations consists predominantly of wealthy business executives whose only qualifications appear to be making billions of dollars off the industries they’re being nominated to regulate. Furthermore, the president-elect has declined to vet these nominees and provide thorough paper trails in the customary manner of previous new administrations, which makes thorough Congressional review all the more crucial.

It is not acceptable to the American people for the Senate to "fast-track" these nominees. We demand a thorough and transparent hearing process for each nominee, with background information and financial records submitted in ample time for Congressional review and public comment before any votes are scheduled. Each nominee must pass a rigorous FBI background check, submit financial disclosure statements, cooperate with ethics investigations, and undergo thorough review into potential conflicts of interest or outstanding tax matters that could expose them to criminal prosecution.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned Arizona Voters

Flake and McCain think they can slide these corporate cronies through the back door while we aren't looking. I am spending my time blowing up their phone lines and demanding they stop this pathetic fast-track charade. Keep the pressure on these senators until they realize we are watching their every move.

It is unconscionable that the GOP should give these foxes guarding the hen houses a pass, especially after the grueling processes each of Obama's appointments were subjected to. This is just not done. Will anyone stand up for Democracy, or do we just kiss it goodbye?

Complete thorough vetting of nominees is essential. We must keep trust in our democratic system. This trust is eroding quickly which leads to serious problems. Sen. McConnell wrote a letter for vetting President Obama's nominees. We should use that as a model.

Please insist on a thorough, non-partisan review of Trump's cabinet nominees before confirmation begins. We need ethical leaders without multiple conflicts of interest. These people are supposed to serve us, the citizens of the US, not themselves and their own interests and pockets.

You must carefully vet these nominees! FBI background checks, conflicts of interest, public offices and business dealings, etc.! You are representing all of us. Please take that position seriously.

This is OUR country too. It is serious business and we know how unstable Trump is, please thoroughly vet these candidates as has been done in the past and was done by Obama. THIS IS NOT JUST YOUR COUNTRY. I am a registered Republican and am appalled by the Republicans lack of morals.

Most of Arizonan students are in undefined Public Schools, by poorly paid teachers. A secretary of education with no Public School experience, who promotes Charter and private schools, is not what is best for the country or our state's children. Please vote no at her confirmation hearing.

The need to complete a thorough vetting of all Cabinet appointees goes far beyond partisanship. This includes financial disclosures.

Please take the time to thoroughly Vet ALL of Trump's cabinet appointments.
