Senator Blunt - Betsy DeVoss is bad for MO schools - most especially the rural areas that are your biggest supporters. Recuse yourself or vote NO on her nomination for Secretary of Education.
Senator, You recently received campaign contributions from Betsy DeVos. To avoid conflict of interest accusations, you need to recuse yourself from any vote to confirm her as Secretary of Education. The country is watching.
Make the honorable and ethical choice by recusing yourself from the DeVos family. Your acceptance of the DeVos money and your vote for her will reverberate back home with those who support you in the next election. This is "pay to play" in its worse form.
I worked on the Barbara Bush literacy demonstration project during the 1980s the most disturbing thing was that I had more skills than the person running the federal department the grant came through .
