South Fulton - The Corner of Stonewall Tell Rd. and Campbellton Rd. (SR166)

How many of you in South Fulton use Stonewall Tell Rd. to get to Campbellton Rd. (SR 166)?
Well, that intersection is about to get even more dangerous. D.R. Horton is building the last phase of the Waterford Commons Subdivision. They are preparing to place the entrance to 85 new homes, on Stonewall Tell Rd., 500 feet from that intersection. That is going to be disastrous to an already dangerous intersection.
We the residents of Waterford Commons subdivision are powerless to stop the developer, but the South Fulton Community and city council are not. D. R. Horton is completing this last phase of homes, using the plans that were approved back in 2001, by Fulton County. Almost 20 years has passed and there have been several studies, since 2001, which have identified the curve on Stonewall Tell Rd. approaching Campbellton Rd., to be dangerous and in need of infrastructure improvement.
We have been informed that there are plans to place a NEW traffic light with turning lanes at that intersection. However, the design phase has not begun on the project. In other words - "IT'S ON THE BACK BURNER".
If you use Stonewall Tell Rd. to get to Campbellton Rd. (SR 166), PLEASE SIGN this petition. It impacts residents, from any district, who use Stonewall Tell Rd.
This petition will help to expedite the improvements at a dangerous intersection. And, it will also help to prevent D.R. Horton from placing the entrance to a new phase of Waterford Commons, at the end of Stonewall Tell Rd.
D. R. Horton and other builders are building HUNDREDS of homes in areas of South Fulton, that have inadequate road infrastructure to support them. They would not be able to do that, if we ban together and take charge of what happens, in our community, like the residents do - in communities in "NORTH" Fulton county.

The momentum is undeniable and it proves that this community is sick of D.R. Horton prioritizing profit over our safety. City council can no longer ignore this project or act like these life-threatening infrastructure gaps are someone else's problem.

The second entrance to Waterford Commons needs to be re-evaluated. It should enter/exit into Campbellton Road. Do not place it on Stonewall Tell Rd!!
Please revisit plans for this intersection, as well as for the intersection of Stonewall Tell and Burner Rd. The anticipated news homes in both locations warrant adjustments to the currently planned "improvements".
Infrastructure is needed as more homes and commercial businesses are being added to the Campbellton Road, Stonewall Tell, Camp Creek area.
I oppose this intersection. It’s already congested and dangerous at times. This will be a nightmare for all current residents of Waterford Commons and other neighborhood subdivisions using this location to get on to Campbellton Rd.
I oppose the entrance to the last phase of Waterford Commons being so close to Campbellton Rd
I was them to redo the road, yes and add signal lights.
Shouldn’t need a petition for this type of necessity. As building permits are granted, making our areas densely populated, automated forethought and consideration should be given.

We need traffic light at stonewall tell and Campbellton. It’s very dangerous, especially turning left going toward Fulton industrial.
