Those who do not want the traffic, drive-thru, noise, pollution, litter, nighttime activity and/or dumpster/parking lot views, please sign this petition against the current WW Reynolds plan. Let's give the developer suggestions about what type of commercial/retail we would like to see instead.

The momentum is building and it is clear our neighborhood is united against this development plan. Text three neighbors this link right now and tell them to oppose the proposal before the next planning meeting.

The traffic plus drive through is not community centric. Nowhere else in Lafayette is there retail space without a barrier (visual/sound & traffic) to the houses.

Distracted drivers and school bus stops don’t mix well together. Having a drive thru so close to where people live and children play is reckless development. With all the empty retail spaces in the area this type of buildings seem outdated as well. I don’t want to have yet another half empty strip mall in the area.

No drive-through. How about a bike-through! We want Family friendly eating with outdoor seating. No fast food.

Additional traffic not related to those who live in the neighborhood is definitely not desirable. A drive-thru in this location is inappropriate; the traffic merging from Baseline onto Hwy 42 is already bad. Bringing a drive-thru to this neighborhood would increase the traffic cutting through the neighborhood and bring with it additional safety concerns.

I do not approve of a special use permit for a drive-thru for any commercial/retail on the parcel at 95th and Baseline. The residential neighborhood should not suffer because the city and the developer(s) did not do a good enough job designing the traffic flow to ensure that the commercial parcels could be accessed directly from the main roads.

Rather than commercial and retail in this location, wouldn’t it make a nice park area with lots of trees — just before the sign that proclaims Lafayette as Tree City USA!

This will cause undue traffic through a residential neighborhood where kids, families and pets are prevalent. The pollution and added traffic will cause a much higher risk to all in our neighborhood. In addition to this, additional hours of operation will cause traffic flow to significantly increase in the evenings and mornings when children are outdoors playing and coming/going to school. Additionally, the developers said they would not build a drive-thru and then reneged without involving or discussing this with the residents.
