This will cause undue traffic through a residential neighborhood where kids, families and pets are prevalent. The pollution and added traffic will cause a much higher risk to all in our neighborhood. In addition to this, additional hours of operation will cause traffic flow to significantly increase in the evenings and mornings when children are outdoors playing and coming/going to school. Additionally, the developers said they would not build a drive-thru and then reneged without involving or discussing this with the residents.

Why not have W. W. Reynolds hold interactive charettes with Indian Peaks South Residents and the Planning Commission? Then, we would all be working together.

Please consider the development is closer to/part of Indian Peaks South than any other in the Master Plan, it should be fully incorporated with the residents and open space in mind.

Additional traffic not related to those who live in the neighborhood is definitely not desirable. A drive-thru in this location is inappropriate; the traffic merging from Baseline onto Hwy 42 is already bad. Bringing a drive-thru to this neighborhood would increase the traffic cutting through the neighborhood and bring with it additional safety concerns.

I don’t understand the logic behind more commercial/retail development when there are already so many empty commercial/retail spaces around here as it is, and then on top of that it’s only going to get worse with Covid...

No drive-throughs please. My concern is that it will cheapen the neighborhood and create a dangerous amount of traffic in the way it is laid out at present.

The traffic plus drive through is not community centric. Nowhere else in Lafayette is there retail space without a barrier (visual/sound & traffic) to the houses.

Distracted drivers and school bus stops don’t mix well together. Having a drive thru so close to where people live and children play is reckless development. With all the empty retail spaces in the area this type of buildings seem outdated as well. I don’t want to have yet another half empty strip mall in the area.

This location has terrible ingress and egress, including the turn on Roser that is near blind on and off of Baseline; as a pedestrian I have almost been hit with my dog in this location several times. There should be no drive through and no fast food at all. A couple small cafes and retail spaces are ok and in line with the community's character, but how can this be assured without something from the city in regards to classifications of businesses? No office buildings (look how many are empty all around and look rundown in a few years), and no additional residential as the area cannot support so many more people. The addition of more housing will bring many people and then will negatively impact all the current residents who moved here for open spaces and safe places for families. This addition will also negatively impact housing prices. The overall area should be developed as a park and open space with a few cafes that are separate and cannot be driven to from the existing roads. Their ingress and egress will also need to be better accomodated.
