As concerned stakeholders of the South Carolina Virtual Charter School, we are deeply troubled by the actions and decisions being made by the board of directors under the leadership of Courtney Suber. The behavior of Courtney Suber undermines the trust and unity of our school and broader community.

It is the belief of all signatories below that the Board Chair, Courtney Suber, is not acting in the best interest of the school, its staff, or its students. We believe it is time to restore accountability and transparency to the governance of the school and prioritize the needs and voices of the community. We, the staff and families of the South Carolina Virtual Charter School, are requesting the immediate resignation of Courtney Suber from the SCVCS Board of Directors. We also request the assurance that recently elected board members will be sworn into office no later than October 1, 2024 and will be able to participate in the appointment(s) of any vacant seat(s).
