As a concerned parent, I was not made aware of this situation that's been going on. That is very telling and something must be done to rectify this situation.

Depending on the bylaws; I believe the other board members should bring a vote to remove the head chair person and remove the attorney that was present last board meeting. Who doesn't come prepared to be legal counsel?What kind of attorney sits there not able to answer simple bylaw questions and not give councel to the board. Document/ gather the reasons for removal. Have clear and precise evidence, which it seems from the news articles, law suit, and the lack of transparency on the members quitting, not notifying the parents, deceptive removal and replacement of the head of the school all seem evidence enough for me. This last school board meeting was pathetic. Erskine should be ashamed to allow this to continue with out intervention.

Why is the chair allowed to appoint her family member to act as interim head of school? Why do the 3 board members not know how to function zoom?

She is power hungry and just wants her friends to get paid. A board member quit after 2 weeks. They don't even have a full board.

This lady is a huge liability to this great school! She should be held accountable for her recent actions in meeting her own personal agenda to satisfy her “friends” at the expense of people’s livelyhood, reputations, and mostly her NEGLIGENCE in children’s education! It’s obvious with her last ditch effort to save her board seat to collude with another board member to appoint each other to one more year to make certain she can fulfill HER agenda! This move was made because she knew she wouldn’t be re elected for another term to set her own salary above every other board member, get free vacations to seminars that she’s not on record signing into for the purpose of the seminar. I guess she’s a “late sleeper”. Her yearly cost to SCVCS is on average 11-12 times more than any other board member! That’s astounding numbers that appear to be abuse of power! Courtney runs these board meetings as if she has no rules, regulations, or LAWS to follow in her actions such as using employees names in open session, abusing executive sessions, failure to be transparent, communicate, or open for public comment, take appointed board members into executive session to discuss “employee matters” then swearing in the appointed member after they come out of executive session, and this list could go on, and on and on. She took a total stranger in executive session, and discussed another employee’s personal matter then made them a board member when they came out of executive session! Totally Reckless Behavior! Out of all the board meetings I’ve attended the only thing I haven’t ever heard her mention was the most important part which is the children! Never heard her mention that word! So with just that bit of information I think it’s time for you to vacate your seat immediately Courtney! It’s obvious that when you were sworn in to uphold the constitution of the United States along with the state of South Carolina you have failed miserably!!
