As most of you know by now there's talks of turning the garage of the jail into another bar and grill in crown point. I for one believe we have too many bars on the square as it Is. I also believe this action would hurt the jails reputation as a historic landmark and as a moment in this amazing towns history. This would also mean ( if the bar goes in) that paranormal investigations and fundraisers would most likely come to a halt do to noises from work and other interference. So I'd like to all everybody to spend a moment pigged their time and sign this petition to show love to this great building and to show support to those of us fighting to save it. Thank you

Don't alter the jail in any ay, other than to restore it. Not everything needs to be made into another revenue machine. Crown Point's character is being lost or changed enough already. There is so much history in that building, before and even beyond Dillinger.
Wow, don't get rid of the jail I visited from North Vancouver, BC Canada and it was the highlight of my visit, Don't do it, once it is gone it is DONE!
Being in the film industry/television and Best Selling Author/Screewriter/Producer, this would be a great loss of historical proportions. I was fortunate to visit and investigate this prestigious place with my family. It would be an injustice to consider anything whatsoever other than it remaining the historical sites it is now. Saving the historic jail will help maintain a small part of the identity of Crown Point. Adding another bar and grill would not. As an out of towner, I would much rather drive through an unfamiliar town and enjoy the character of the location through its historic landmarks than hang out at a bar. Keep history alive! Save the jail!
It amazes me the lack of funding and support Crown Point gives this historic building! Instead of opening another bar and grill on a square already inundated with them, allocate funds to restore/preserve the building and turn it into a major tourist attraction for the area.
Save the old jail. Please don't change anything!

Think this would be a very bad idea and would ruin the paranormal investigations at the jail. and there are enough bars in the squar as it is. Let history live and be remembered
