The momentum is undeniable. This shows how much we value the peace of our neighborhood.

There's a huge school that is being built next to our neighborhood. Guess where they're all gonna come play after school? We will no longer have a nice, quiet family park for our children. I vote for safety too. No basketball courts.

Can we build a walking trail with that money instead? I believe it's more family friendly and more quiet for our neighborhood. Nothing is built yet, we can still change plans from this terrible decision. Or we can vote for new board members that will change this and make things right for us.

We expect the president of our hoa and others who voted for this, to wake up every morning at 6am to pick up the beer cans, cigarette buds and other trash left on the park from the night before. There's already neighbors that wake up early to try help out with all the litter . Our trash problems will now get worse.

I have never supported this idea. A basketball court is just a magnet for crime, drugs, and illegal activity. They were when I was a kid and they haven't changed. Whether it's the HOA or the MUD paying for it, it's OUR money. The fact that there is such a surplus to finance these ideas shows we are being charged way too much.

I'm sure they're gonna say there was a vote on this. But what they did is, not tell a lot of people about it and voted on it fast to get it approved. This is a very old and deceitful voting technique. If I knew about this I would've voted no. Shame on them. Abuse of power.

The construction of the basketball courts really affects my property because the park is right behind my house. We already have an issue with cars parked in both sides of the streets, adding a public basketball court will make it worse. We need to get involved, we need more board members, and we need people who will take action and address our community concerns.

So we received no flyers on our doors, no emails, no knock at our doors and no letters mailed to our homes to ask us for our opinions on this or to inform us when the vote on this was? This was a very lazy and irresponsible decision by the board. We need new board members. No basketball courts.
