I am one of many youths in Double Bay who would like a basketball court at Steyne park, Double bay. I have tried to play at the local school's court on many occasions but have been kicked out.
Here are some reasons why a basketball court at Double Bay is a great idea:
- it would keep kids fit
- children would be encouraged to go outdoors
- the community would be brightened because people would visit the park more often

Like you Otto, my own son was thrown out of the local school. I think your idea is excellent.
I think it is a wonderful request to want a sporting facility such as this in an urban environment. So good for the young to be active in this way.

Brilliant idea Otto!!! And can they put new, clean, safer toilets at the park too! Great way to get the older kids out & about.
