- Serves numerous community institutions that have a disproportionately high rate of disability including multiple major hospitals, medical facilities, nursing homes, and senior centers.
- Is central to a growing neighborhood, including several of the largest residential buildings in the Bronx in addition to a developing commercial district and thriving community center.
- Is above ground, has a platform with access to both uptown and downtown trains, and has wide sidewalk areas conducive to elevator installation.
“I, the undersigned, support the installation of an elevator at the Mosholu Parkway 4 Train station as part of the current 2015-2019 MTA Capital Plan.”

I go to the doctors at Montefiore Hospital and am medically in need of it. I have asked for this since Andrew Sandler was there. It is interesting that only now it has become of interest to others!
I cannot climb stairs. I am forced to use the #1 train from 231st Street, because there's an elevator there. This cuts me off from the east side of Manhattan! Please put an elevator at Mosholu Pkwy!

Took years to finally open up entrance near Tracey Towers. Elevator should have been put here years ago. Very hard for senior citizens. Thanks.
I have a disability and can't access the station, which is close to where I live. They spent a fortune upgrading the station a few years ago and didn't put in an elevator. That just didn't make any sense at all.
I am supporting my cousin Eric.
While I use that station once in a while when I go to Montefiore, I favor an elevator for all people and hopefully for more stations.

I used to live there for years so I can attest to the failure of RTA in providing adequate accommodations to ensure every Nrw Yorker can access essential services that are paid for by the same people experiencing this unnecessary hardship.
