Large pets want to travel on Amtrak with their family.
Please help with your signature to ask Amtrak to consider allowing large pets to ride on Amtrak.
As of today, Nov 14th Sunday, Amtrak allows pets who are up to 20lbs on board Amtrak trains
Many pets are over 20lbs. Lots of us have larger furry animals in our family, and we want to take them on our vacations. Railway transportation is expanding and Amtrak allowing large pets to travel with us humans will give us more opportunities to use Amtrak.
When a few assigned cars allow large pets helps becasue other passengers who don't like animals are prevented from getting bothers by animals.
I, Miho Yanagisawa Groia, have contacted Amtrak to request that large pets be able to travel on Amtrak and other trains.
My case number is 5874070 and it’s still open to be examined

The feedback I receive highlights how many families feel separated from their pets when they choose rail travel. I am continuing to follow up on my open inquiry with Amtrak to ensure they understand that this policy limits the freedom of many loyal passengers.

Seeing this community grow beyond my initial expectations reminds me how many people yearn to travel alongside their larger companions. This collective interest demonstrates that the current policies no longer align with the needs of modern families who want to keep their pets by their side.

My dog travels so well on trains. I would be willing to pay more to have my dog travel with me!!
My dog is a 32lb well behaved Australian Shepherd. I see no reason to forbid her to travel with her family. We’d be happy to buy her a ticket! But now it’s impossible to even book a separate cabin.
Rail in the US could be the savior of the traveling public who need to transport their larger animals, whom many consider family.
A train would be the perfect way to move cross country with pets, if only they allowed more and larger ones.
If they are so friendly, why not! They are part of family.
This small step will change the world of those who have large dogs as their family members.
As a spirit/soul, we are all same I think. ;)

I think Amtrak can easily use that be car as the car that allows crated pets. This should be simple.
