Reaching this level of support feels heavy because it confirms so many of you are feeling the same frustration I am. This fight has been exhausting but seeing this kind of movement keeps me pulling forward. We have a long road ahead before the city listens to us.

We vacationed year-after-year in Dunedin specifically because it is (hopefully not was) Dog-Eden. And now retired we moved to Dunedin because it is dog friendly. Businesses do you know that one major reason Dunedin is on the travel/tourist map is that it has a dog friendly reputation? Let's not ruin that atmosphere -- we'll be sad and you'll lose business. Come on, this is a big claim-to-fame of our little town.
Makes no sense to ban dogs from businesses here. its part of the vibe of the whole town.
My dog is like family and he loves going out for a walk to the pub with us. It would be a huge bummer if we couldnt bring him anymore.
KEEP DUNEDIN PET FRIENDLY!! we travel here specifically for this. leave our pups alone they are better behaved than most people anyway
Dunedin is the best place around because of how dog friendly it is. dont change that now!

Dunedin's pet friendliness was one of the major reasons we decided to retire in this wonderful community. We need to keep (and even expand) its dog-friendliness, not take away one of the most positive aspects of this great place to live.
