We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Pawsitively Purr-Fect Pet Sitting & Boarding, LLC be allowed to continue operating at its current location until a new property is secured.
Since its establishment in 2017, Pawsitively Purr-Fect Pet Sitting & Boarding, LLC has been a vital part of the Mechanicsville, VA community, providing exceptional pet care services to local residents. For years, the business has operated at the same location without issue, earning the trust and support of countless pet owners.
This beloved facility has consistently demonstrated excellence, maintaining a 5-star rating on Facebook with 241 reviews and a 5-star rating on Google with 148 reviews. These outstanding reviews reflect the high level of care and professionalism that Pawsitively Purr-Fect provides to its customers and their pets.
Now, the Hanover Planning Department and Hanover Board of Supervisors are refusing to approve the special exception permit required for the facility to continue operations at its current site. This decision threatens the well-being of numerous pets and their owners who rely on this essential service.
We urge you to reconsider this decision and grant Pawsitively Purr-Fect the ability to remain in operation at its current location until an alternative site is secured. Shutting down this beloved business would not only disrupt the lives of pet owners but also impact the livelihoods of the dedicated staff who provide top-quality care.

We need our small home businesses! If they are made to move to retail spaces, the prices go up and we can't afford them. I doubt Hanover wants this for their citizens?
I own a dog training business in Ashland & Jacki Mellon & her company is outstanding. I get several of her clients for training & they all rave about her. Keep this business where it is!
My dog was always anxious and reluctant to get out of the car at other boarding facilities. She has no hesitation and anxiety when she stays at Pawstiviley Purrr-fect. It would be a real shame for such an outstanding establishment to be forced to close.
Please keep them open until a new location is secured. They have helped me with my pup since she was 8 months old (now 3 1/2 yrs). I'm a single mom and they help me get my sweet girl playtime and exercise while I'm at work. They are the best and it would be devasting to my fur baby not to have a place to go.
Its very hard to find a place like this. A place where the owners treat your pet like their own & care for them, love them & play with them so you can have peace of mind when traveling. Our pets are our family so when you cant take them, its so nice knowing they’re in a safe environment!
Jacki was the only person I found that I trusted with our nervous girl.
This facility is simply the best. Very professional and it is run top notch. Please let this service continue. It is for the community.

Our dog has been boarded here many times over the years. They run a great business. It has never been crowded or noisy when I have gone. I cannot even see the boarding facilities on their property from the street or front yard. It is a value to the local community to keep their business close.
