This is a petition of at least 1/6 of the HOA community for Canterbury Park, Pearland Texas to request a special meeting immediately. Per section 6.6 of the HOA Bylaws, a 1/6 petition to call a special meeting must be honored by the HOA, President and Board. The specific purpose of this meeting is to appoint a new HOA Board and schedule an annual HOA meeting. Only one homeowner, in good standing per the HOA, per household may sign this petition. According to Article II Section 2 and 3 of our Deeds Restrictions once the homeowners votes match or outweigh the votes the builder has, including their 4 votes per lot, the builder then loses their Class B status and becomes a Class A Member (Section 2 Part B ii) and looses the 4 votes per lot and only carries one vote per lot they own. As of 2/3/2019 KB only owns 89 (89x4=356) remaining lots homeowners own 371 lots. Thus forcing KB to carry only one vote per lot.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are just as frustrated as I am about how our community is being managed. It is clear that we are done waiting for the board to act on their own terms. We are getting our paperwork ready for the next step so stay tuned.

Seeing this kind of movement in our community is overwhelming because I know how many of us have felt ignored for far too long. This energy finally proves that we have the power to demand the transparency our neighborhood deserves.

It is way past time for the builder to step back and let the residents run things.
