Principal Sims and members of the Novato Unified School District Board of Directors,

Four days ago our community lost a very special person. A person who was a passionate coach and educator and was respected by everyone who knew him. I am of course referring to Craig Pitti.

For 11 seasons, Craig mentored countless students on the basketball court. Players, parents and fellow coaches respected him tremendously.

News of his passing quickly spread to all corners of the globe and well-wishes came to the Pitti family from people near and far.

We, the undersigned, implore you to immediately vote to rename the gymnasium in honor of Craig Pitti.

If that is not possible, since the building is already named after someone else, please consider dedicating the court in his honor.

Craig gave his heart and soul to San Marin both as a coach and a teacher and it is only fitting that he is memorialized in this manner.
