As the only communal and safe area in the Bergen Ridge Road neighborhood, we are asking the Homeowners Association to please open the pool and sitting area for the 2021 swim season.

As a small community having to experience a pandemic for a year now without a space to enjoy the outdoors and cool off from the summer heat, not opening the pool is encouraging families to seek this refuge elsewhere and possibly putting themselves and others at risk.

It is more than feasible to implement a simple and effective protocol to limit capacity, encourage social distancing, and keep everyone safe. For example, this can include advanced signups and time limits. Not doing so is a disservice and frankly an insult to the people that live here and also pay maintenance fees to support the pool being open.

Please join us in signing this petition to support your neighbors. This will be shared with the Homeowners Association to ensure they provide this much needed community resource to our neighborhood this coming summer.
