As part of the total renovation at 2112 Spruce Street we are requesting a variance to build a back garden wall with roll up doors that matches in height and style with our neighbors. The current zoning requires a variance for walls higher than 6 ft high. The houses on our side of the street have garden walls varying in height from 9ft to 10ft-8in. We are requesting a 10ft wall with opaque doors for the privacy and safety of our family and our adjacent neighbors, who support our proposal.

We will have 2 state of the art roll-up doors (Nylofelt®running strips to provide smooth operation, rubber coated guied stops to prevent metal on metal contact)for car access to our garden. The Smart Garage Roll-up Door ultra-quiet motor produces about 63 decibels of noise, less than the decibel level of a normal conversation.

We will have two car lifts. The decibel rating for a PhantomPark lift is 80 decibels; however, our motors will be below grade on our property, greatly reducing the actual audible decibel level.
