These kids were born in 2001 in the midst of a crisis. Now, as they close in on the end of their high school career, they again are in the midst of a crisis. These kids NEED and DESERVE to celebrate this milestone.
Please ensure these kids get to attend prom and graduate REGARDLESS of when it is.
I truly don't believe FPC would cancel vs reschedule these milestones for their 2020 graduating class! BUT petitioning sure can't hurt to ensure our voices of support are heard and known. ❤

If our future generation are not shown appreciation for their education accomplishments what message are we their adults sending them? Accomplishments aren’t rewarded? That would be wrong. School administrators need to find a way to allow a high school prom and the graduation ceremony this year!!!

Class of 2020, you all deserve the same ceremonies just as past and future classes!

My son just like his classmates has worked hard his whole school career to get to this point and it would be unjustified for our school district to dismiss his hard work in the name of Coronavirus. This too shall pass and these kids should have their day to shine in front of family and friends. This is a once in a life time memory.

They came into the world post 9/11, an endless expensive war, endured several mass shootings and now a pandemic where they (and others in the service industry) are "essential" employees on the front lines for our comfort and convenience (without hazard duty pay). Yet, we are even going to discuss cancelling THEIR moment?
They deserve THIS...to walk, to show their friends and families their success even while the world around them has been chaos. Whether it is at the beach, the football field, town center in a dang parade they deserve this!
These kids are going to change the world...I hope you are all here to see it

All students that have achieved this point in time should not be deprived of the benefits that they have earned i.e. a Prom and their actual graduation ceremony.
