Seeing 100 people back this effort feels surreal when I think about how frustrated I felt sitting at that dealership alone. It turns out I am not the only one dealing with these cheap, breaking parts after all.

My own visor snapped suddenly and it feels wrong that we are all paying out of pocket for a clear manufacturing flaw. We are getting very near the hundred signature mark and hitting that goal will finally force them to pay attention to our complaints.

My 2011 camry has a broken drivers side sun visor. Dealer said it was not in recall, but this is the same issue as the recall. I don't understand why Toyota doesn't take care of this. I currently have three toyota vehicles and have owned a total of five.
I was driving home from work, and suddenly, the sun visor on the driver side just broke. I could not get it to stay up so I could drive straight on the high way. I had to hold the visor up the whole time until I made it home. If this is not dangerous, tell me what else is.
I bought a new 2011 Camry LE and the driver side sun visor broke at 50,000 miles. VIN is not covered under Toyota's Sun Visor Repair Program. Dealer wants to charge a $150 Diagnostic Fee before even giving an estimate on visor repair. Last Toyota I will ever purchase.
2009 Venza, both sun visors failed, would not stay in upright position, 24K miles. Both replaced at dealer under warranty about 16 months ago. Now, drivers side has failed for the 2nd time. Clearly a poor design and is a hazard while driving. Last Toyota I will ever own. 44k miles
The driver side sun visor in Toyota vehicles from 2007 to 2011 is a huge safety issue and needs to be recalled and replaced by Toyota. The failure of the visor to work properly obstructs a persons view while driving and impedes their driving capabilities. There are millions of Toyota drivers with this issue and that fact that this issue has yet to be resolved or handled appropriately by Toyota is inexcusable and will deter me from purchasing another Toyota vehicle ever again the future. My value and respect for Toyota and their lack of due diligence in regards to this issue has severely impacted my perception and will not buy another Toyota vehicle if they can’t stand behind their product or protect the safety of those of us who purchased their product and are suffering the consequences.

I have a 2012 Camry, my driver side visor broke, I have extended warranty and still Toyota does not want to cover it, I two estimates to fix ii, one is $426, the other one is $700. This is a safety issue , Toyota should fix it.
