IN HUNTINGTON INDIANA WE ONLY GET ONE DAY TO TAKE OUR CHILDREN TRICK OR TREATING BECAUSE SOMEONE FELT WE DID NOT NEED TO HAVE TWO DAYS OF CELEBRATION. AS A PARENT I BELIEVE WE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HAVE HALLOWEEN AND HALLOW' S EVE TO CELEBRATE AND TAKE OUR CHILDREN TRICK OR TREATING DOOR TO DOOR.

I have compiled the signatures to submit as an official request to the City Council. I am currently waiting on a response from the clerk regarding the next hearing session where this topic can be placed on the agenda.

The increase in support has moved this proposal into a position where it can no longer be ignored by the local council. I have initiated the drafting of a formal request for a meeting with city officials to discuss modifying the current trick or treating schedule.

I was born and raised in Huntington and always celebrated on both nights. Fast forward 20+ years, I am now a mother of 5 and would love to be able to carry on that tradition with my children. Please don't take this away from future generations.
To have 2 nights hurts NO ONE, to not have 2 nights limits what families an do. If you do not wish to participate simply do not participate in more than one night .
Ppl who have to work on Halloween need another day to get the chance to go with their children and or family. Its not right we have to miss out cause someone thought it was unnecessary to have two nights.

Now i know it was like that before i was even born so why now after all these years has the city decided to change something the children love and look forward to. The more the city changes things around this town the more i concider moving its very sad.
I completely agree!!! As a blended family, we miss 2 days of trick or treating, for the simple fact that each parent can have one night to spend with the kids trick or treating!!! With only one night we only get every other year....they grow up way too fast to miss out on special moments like that!
Yes give kids something fun. To do I remember trick or treat was a week different town had it separate there days so we can have fun
Two nights of trick or treating helps both working parents have a chance to enjoy this holiday with their children...

I grew up with two nights of Halloween my whole life I think it's a good opportunity for kid's to one go get the candy of course but also because kids like top hand out one pod the night's to and I feel like that teaches kids to share
