Galloway Reserve in O’Sullivan Beach needs a full upgrade so it can better serve our growing community. The reserve is outdated, and the current flooring, fencing, and sports equipment are worn, limited, and no longer suitable for children of all ages, adults, or families with pets who use the space regularly.
We should have a safe, inclusive, and modern reserve where people can gather, stay active, and enjoy time outdoors together. A well-designed local park supports play, exercise, rest, and connection, and Galloway Reserve should meet that need.
We ask the City of Onkaparinga to fully upgrade Galloway Reserve. This includes removing and replacing the existing flooring, fencing, and sports equipment with new, safe, and modern equipment for all ages. It also includes improvements for pet owners, extra shade coverage, more seating, one or two BBQs, and a multipurpose filtered water drinking fountain for both pets and humans.
These changes would make a real difference for everyone who uses the reserve. They would help create a space that is more welcoming, more practical, and better suited to the people and pets who rely on it every day.
We call on the City of Onkaparinga to invest in Galloway Reserve and deliver the full upgrade our community needs and deserves.
