Request to Reconsider the Employment of Mike Manahan
We, the undersigned members and supporters of the Northern Hills Men’s Club, would
like to express our support for Mike Manahan and respectfully ask that his employment
status and future with Northern Hills Golf Course be carefully reconsidered.
Mike has been instrumental in making the Northern Hills Men’s Club one of the most
active and successful men’s clubs among Rochester’s municipal golf courses. His
professionalism, dedication, and commitment to both members and guests have had a
significant impact on the positive experience that golfers enjoy at Northern Hills.
Throughout his tenure, Mike has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and
customer service. He organizes tournaments that are well-planned and efficiently
managed, creates engaging Men’s and Ladies Club events, maintains a well-run pro
shop, and ensures golfers have access to the resources and support they need. His
knowledge of the game, willingness to help others, and approachable personality have
earned him the respect and appreciation of countless members.
While we understand that concerns have arisen regarding a recent decision or action,
we believe that a single lapse in judgment should be weighed against the many years of
dedication, integrity, and positive contributions Mike has made to Northern Hills and the
Rochester golf community. The character and professionalism he has demonstrated
over time are what most accurately reflect who he is.
Many of us believe that Mike’s leadership and presence have been a major reason for
the success and growth of the Northern Hills Men’s Club. His relationships with
members and his commitment to the facility have helped foster a welcoming
environment that keeps golfers engaged and returning year after year.
We respectfully ask that his future employment be carefully reconsidered and that his
overall record of service, commitment, and positive impact be given significant weight in
any final decision.

Mr Manahan has been a great addition to the Rochester golf community. We are all human and everyone makes mistakes. And as adults we have to learn from them. I feel like we should give him the chance to improve and grow past this unfortunate situation
Mike/Manny is Norther Hills- he has made everyone feel welcomed. I have already noticed the difference and don’t want Northern Hills to stop being the best men’s club in Rochester.
Mike Manahan is the heart of Northern Hills and the golf course won’t only miss him but won’t be as successful without him.
Mike is the reason I keep coming back to the Northern Hills men's club every year. He has been very helpful and accepting of every single member of the club and only wants the best for all of the members as well as the rest of the golfing community.
Mike’s professionalism and years of dedication to Northern Hills Golf Course and all of its patrons should be the main focus of this decision. Mike deserves his position back.
Mike is an asset to Northern Hills Golf Course. The bible says the woman should be stoned. Why punish Mike?? Give that kind, professional, and talented man his job back or I will never set foot on Northern Hills Gold Course again.
Mike has been one of the best pro there is. Very friendly and approachable. He is why Northern Hills is a fun and enjoyable golf course. It hasn’t been the same without him there!!

The Golf culture/fellowship that has been built due to Mike's leadership at Northern Hills is second to none. I have been a Men's club member for over a decade now and with the decision the city has made I will be looking to play out of town next year.
