Mike has been one of the best pro there is. Very friendly and approachable. He is why Northern Hills is a fun and enjoyable golf course. It hasn’t been the same without him there!!

I’ve been a men’s club member for 25 years. Our club has gotten better and bigger year after year. I truly believe this is because of our leadership of the league which is largely due to Mike Manahan. We need Mike here to keep our club and course moving in the right direction.

My heart goes out in support of Mike - the person - he has always been welcoming and encouraging to me and my family as we have grown to enjoy and appreciate Northern Hills more and more each year - I truly believe the course has been on a strong improving trend for the past 5 years and I credit some of that improvement to Mike’s presence and leadership. I support Mike and wish him all the best. I hope this turn of events will become part of what makes him an even stronger person going forward

Mike has been instrumental in making Northern Hills Golf Club what it is today for the many diverse patrons that frequent the course. From the men’s and ladies’ leagues to the many fund raisers and tournaments he’s helped organize and successfully managed. Mike has significantly enhanced the golf culture at Northern Hills aiding in the growth of golf patrons and the success of the clubs. It would be a shame to lose someone who put so much into his livelihood for the benefit of others.

Through Mike's encouragement my wife and I donate hundreds of hours a year on course beautification.
Without Mike at Northern Hills I'm not sure our hearts will be in it any longer.
Please reconsider Mike's future at Northern Hills!

Everyone makes mistakes in life period! I’m a perfect example. Give my good friend his career back. No reason for any of this BS. This makes NO SENSE. Mike is the face of Northern and I’ve already been told by many that there won’t be as many members playing there if Mike doesn’t return. DO THE RIGHT THING!!!

Michael's connection to Northern Hills is truly unique. He took over as the golf professional after his father, and remarkably, the two of them are the only club professionals in the history of Northern Hills Golf Course. That kind of continuity is extremely rare and has helped make Michael and his family an important part of the identity and history of the course.

Mike runs the most highly attended men’s league in the city of Rochester! The Northern Hills Men’s league is successful due to his leadership and the relationships he’s built over the years. It is a special group of people from all walks of life that Mike caters to and makes feel comfortable being there and participating in men’s league. He is a staple in the Rochester golf community and should be given a fair chance to continue his position.

I am 41 years old and have been playing golf at northern hills since I was a kid. The Northern hills course, men’s club and identity to me has always been a Manahan face behind it, more than just some guy behind a counter greeting us patrons on the front and back end of each round. Mike is now what I consider a dear friend, knowing him and his father over the years is absolutely the reason I have considered Northern hills my “home course”… And I know I’m not the only one to share those values.
