Zones have recently been put in place to reduce "overcrowding", but it is confusing, unhelpful and clearly NOT WORKING. At QES, they try to provide the best education for all students, but how can we work at our best when we are being restricted like animals? By joining this petition, you are not only helping roughly 1200 pupils have freedom, but you are also helping the future of all years here at QES.
QES has deteriorated in behaviour, facilities and staffing. New headteachers rules are poorly thought out: zoning is a major example. Studio has 15 rooms, yet 2 years are in it. Even with the outdoor area, there isn't enough space, and 1/3 was blocked off. This causes anxiety and cramps violence into a small area. Many students are stressed and burnt out with no real break time. Zoning separates friends, contradicting “QEFAMILY”. At the end of breaks, cafe queue becomes a 350+ person mosh pit.

The zones are super busy and half of the school isn’t even being used, it’s causing crowding and it also means people can’t see their friends, school is supposed to be a safe environment but the new rule is making people feel unsafe as they are confined into small busy spaces and it’s also limiting people’s friendships and making them hard to maintain.

Why did they even do this?? I can’t speak to anyone and basically anywhere you go has at least 30 people there… you can’t even choose your friends anyone! Literally nobody benefits from this because it’s insanely hard for the teachers to keep track of alongside the fact that students are put at a massive disadvantage.. ://

We all go to QES not a small part of QES
Kids also need exercise Wich they can’t get when they are being confined to a small zone and let’s say that their is some kids that dont get along they won’t be separated or if u have a falling out with friends you will be unable to have a break form them.
We are all going to a school with a beautiful campus that we cannot spend time appreciating when confined to a small space and the year 7s won’t be able to look around to see where their lessons are

students should focus on studying and enjoying the school environment and mixing with others to set examples not to be restricted by zones.
