I think zones are just cooping to people, it’s hard to find anywhere to meet with your friends and don’t have anywhere to sit without waiting for ages, it’s also making behaviour worse because students have nowhere to go and are bored.

I think that the zones should not be there because to start with it is stopping people from different years talking and becoming friends as well as this I have a best friend in year 6 coming into year 7 next year and if the zones are still in place we will not be able to talk at break and lunch

This new rule is awful. I have a younger sibling who goes to QES and they told me about all the new rules just before going back this year and I was shocked by how poorly thought out and unreasonable it all was. These zones restrict everyone. They put stress on the students, parents and teachers. This goes against so many of the values QES claims to have. One of my siblings closest friends is in the year above and now they never get to see them in school. The school needs to take accountability.

The zoning is turning the school into a prison, children are feeling isolated from friends and are not able to get the benefits of hanging out with children of other age groups. Last year my daughter benefited massively by getting help and support from some older children she already knew, now som younger ones have joined that she knows and she is not even allowed to talk to them at break times. Disgusting and borderline abuse.

The school zoning is turning the school into a prison like environment, students are penned and monitored by staff with walkie talkies leading to a prison like feeling. Students need passes just to go to clubs to allow them travel through other pens..sorry I mean zones.

Because the zones are stupid and treating the students like animals in captivity, stopping them from forming relationships with people in other years. People are now trying to go to places that they have never wanted to go to before because they are not allowed there and it is a human response to being told not to do something. So in short treat the students as you want them to behave.

My child has just started at QES. He is super happy with the school in general. He has said that there are some benefits to the year 7 zone as they have a nice space with some grass. However he has noted that some of the spaces are cramped and lack green space. What concerns me is the fact that there is little scope to walk around the school - or outside space for fresh air. Compounding this issue is the club's that are not running as per the timetable online.
