Good day parents of Aintree primary school and Bacchus Marsh Grammar.
I am writing to you all to join in this petition to remove the 2 minute parking zones outside our schools.
I worked out that there are at least 30 car spots in this area and to have ever had the allocated as only 2 minutes is ludicrous.
There are already a limited amount of parking spaces near the school which makes pick up and drop off harder.
I do not see an issue with the 2 minute drop off requirement in the morning as it is easy to do this, but in the afternoon when having to wait for your kids to come out of class and find you does not take 2 minutes. It is even harder with multiple children.
Parents are now being fined for parking in these areas.

We need more parking outside school.2 minutes is ridiculous..we want them removed no limit..
Please remove the 2minutes car parking zone near School. We may not able to drop/pickup kinds in two minutes.
There is no way 2 mins is enough when you have young kids.

By the time I get my pram out of my car, my 2 babies and walk to the gate my 2 minutes would be up. Impossible to pick up my grade prep child in 2 minutes
