Ray city public marching band
We call on the mayor, the council, and the people of Ray City to support a completely free public marching band for our city.
Ray City is an awesome place with a tight community, and that spirit matters even more here in Berrien County. There are so many people who still have a passion for music and instruments, but who have aged out of high school or do not have the funds to stay involved any other way. A free marching band would give those people a place to play, belong, and share their talent with the whole community.
This is about more than music. It is about bringing joy, harmony, and pride to Ray City. A public marching band could add life to flash mobs, concerts, parades, and other community events. It would give families something uplifting to enjoy and give local musicians a way to stay connected through music.
We believe Ray City should be a place where anyone with the drive to make music can take part, not just those who can afford it. With support from the council, the mayor, and the wider community, this idea can become something that brings people together and makes our city stronger. We ask you to help make the Ray City public marching band happen.

I'm apart of this band, the alto sax player. Music is one of the biggest, and most influential things that belong just to us humans. It can literally affect so many things in nature even, and so I think, if you are a musician willing to work hard and you have a desire to improve and make more friends with like interests, then we need a public band, regardless of the style (concert or marching).

I’m interested in seeing what they can do with publicity, I remember seeing them preform some short songs at a basketball game and it was incredible! This is very needed for this community
