My name is Landon R. in 10th grade and I'm starting a petition. This petition will be for the stop of Gen AI in flyers and “art works” in the many hallways this school has. Another thing this petition will be about is the AI use in classroom curriculum's and student work.

I am in an optional art class in my school and I have seen gen ai flyers before. Why generate this with ai when you have students who would be willing to make a flyer for you
I'm signing because AI "artwork" uses the IP of many artists without their explicit consent, often hidden in updated terms and conditions, as well as uses a disproportionate amount of energy for the "good" it brings to society. Additionally, such flyers do indicate that its creator does not want to spend time on a fuller flyer (even though the creator might be a very busy person, that is how it comes off). Please compensate real artists or designers for their work, instead.
I believe that the use of AI slop blocks the creative of flow and with this schools will only become lazier when it comes to certain clubs and assemblies and games
Ai is taking over so many careers, teaching isnt really teaching if you just use ai that is most likely not even the correct given information. Ai has also taken over artists using ai to make animations or sketches and calling it “art” when it’s just horrible ai. Schools have actual students willing to create promotional videos and art for the school. Students will NOT learn by just Ai. Shortcutting your way with Ai won’t pave your way in life, you have to work for it.
Gen ai is taking up a lot of ram and I believe that if schools stopped using gen ai every electronic device will go down in price so will consoles and so with PCs plus it looks ugly
AI has incredible potential but its current usage is only bringing harm. Allowing the usage of AI in schooling means that children no longer have to think in order to complete their assignments. If we aren’t learning new information and gaining new skills, then what’s the point of going to school at all?

I hate ai, as an artist a writer, and a human. I am the same age as the one who posted the petition, and this is an important matter and topic to me, so I give my full support to this cause
