As a high school senior we need to help artists thrive in high school instead of pushing them down to meet the standards of others. We need to support all young artists before AI makes all of them gone.

AI harms developing brains, making them lazy and that’s not the only bad thing. AI damages our planet an unbelievable amount and takes people out of their jobs and such. Even if it makes life easier in the moment, the long term effect won’t be as pleasant.

As a parent, I find it discouraging that we are telling our children to produce original work for their classes, yet these same classrooms are being filled with low effort generated AI from teachers. If we want our children to have academic integrity we must demonstrate the same efforts as their role models.
