We, the tenants of 99 Lafayette Ave, are asking for immediate steps to improve safety and security in this building. Right now, many of us feel that the building does not provide the level of protection we should be able to expect in our own homes.
The most important fix is to update the cameras so they work properly and cover the areas that need monitoring. In addition, the necessary items and broken or worn security-related features should be repaired without delay. When cameras are outdated or equipment is not working, tenants are left feeling unsafe and unprotected.
A safe building matters for everyone who lives here. It helps us feel secure coming home, moving through common areas, and keeping our belongings protected. We should not have to worry about basic safety in the place where we live.
We are asking the building owner or management to take this seriously and make these repairs and upgrades as soon as possible. Our community deserves a building that is safe, secure, and properly maintained.
I've recently moved to the building and would hope to make this a long-term home. These security improvements would help make that happen.
