This is a petition to let an lgbtq student wear something other than a dress and be comfortable on graduation day. Please help out and let's show this public school that it's not cool to descriminate.

I spent the entire morning reading through the stories you all are leaving here and honestly some of them are just breaking my heart because school should be about finishing a journey not being forced into clothes that don't fit who you are. I am currently trying to figure out who exactly makes these dress code rules anyway because I keep getting passed around to different people in the front office who all claim they do not have the final say.

I was just staring at the screen and realized how much this has grown and it feels so wild that people actually care about this as much as I do. It makes me feel less alone in this whole mess because honestly I was worried nobody would listen but looking at all the recent activity makes me think things might actually change for graduation.

Ridiculous school rules. Graduation should be about celebrating the student not policing their clothing choices.

Unbelievable that they are making such a big deal out of this. Just let them graduate in peace.

Stop the hate. Seriously, it's 2017. Let the kid wear pants.

LET THEM WEAR PANTS. who even cares what someone wears under a gown anyway?? this is so petty.
