Hi! We are tying to abolish sexist dress codes at our school. We want to stop the way many transgender people are treated, and how girls get in trouble for wearing "guy" clothes, and how guys get in trouble for wearing "girl" clothes. I have been reading the stories you are all leaving in the comments and the pain caused by these rules is truly overwhelming. It never crossed my mind that so many of you felt this way too. Please know I am working on a way to get these experiences in front of the people in charge.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way so many of you have stepped up to support this change. This progress belongs entirely to you because I never imagined this would reach so many people.

I HATE dress codes. It's enough that they force us to sit in a classroom for almost 7 hours a day, but you have to "watch what you wear" too? You have to worry more about a guy seeing your shoulders (god forbid) or seeing, even worse, YOUR KNEES. Like seriously, some schools need to back off.
Really?! I mean it doesn't matter what people wear. We are who we want to be and there is nothing to stop that.
This is not right- They should wear what they want as long as its not revealing.
As a transgender male I say ''GET THOSE 1000 SIGNATURES! WOOHOO'' Everyone should dress as they want and no one should have the authority to say otherwise. Love, Ludo
I hate that people have no freedom because of dress codes, people need to be able to express themselves and not have to hide what they truly are from others
everybody can be who they want be and can dress the way they want
