Reaching this level of support honestly leaves me feeling drained but resolute about what lies ahead. It has been a long road to get people to pay attention to our need for this space. I am catching my breath and preparing for the next push.

Do something for the children on the smbi's. There is nothing for them to do. That's why they get into trouble
Excellent idea for the islands. I myself collect old bikes fix them up and give them away to the locals in need of one. I’m all for it
A skate park on Russell Island would benefit the children, teenagers & community as a whole. It is well over due, kids need exercise and a place to socialize, being beneficial to health & over all well being. Boredom is the cause for many issues & Council need to invest in this community & a skate park would be looked at favorably by the rate payers. Should have happened yesterday but better late than never.
I have 4 children under 27 this would be a perfect outdoor facility to get children and youth out of the house and off their gaming and their screens! Russell Island now has the population of youth to warrant such a needed facility
Great idea, also a pump track incorporated around the skatepark would add to the (all ages)use

Skate park on Russell would be amazing. We need a bowl, box jump, half pipe and rails for skating, bmx, and scooters. Dirt jumps for bonus points.
